Get to Know Me

  • Originally from America’s pearl (Cleveland, Ohio), I moved to Boston, Massachusetts for school and stayed for the colors and the salty air. My hobbies include reading (I aim for 50 books/year), watching anime, and thrifting. Most of my days end with a cup of tea, a glass of bourbon, or a cold beer. I don’t enjoy cooking but I love to eat, and am known for my obsession with baby carrots.

  • When I was 10, I knew that I wanted to play an instrument so that I could join the band or orchestra in middle school. But which one?

One evening, my parents decided to take the family to see the local high school orchestra perform. As I had just checked out a new book at the library, I had no plans of leaving the house. Unfortunately for me, 10 year olds rarely get to make these decisions.

I brought my latest library book and was determined to read throughout the concert, but an oboe soloist happened to be headlining the concert that evening. The minute I heard the oboe, I was hooked.

The next day (once I had recovered from my obstinancy), we all agreed that oboe was the way to go. Many many years and cracked oboe reeds later, I am now a two time graduate from the New England Conservatory and a freelance musician in the New England area.

  • When Covid shut down the end of my master’s degree and my career as an oboist, I found myself exploring the world of modeling and fashion.

One experimental photoshoot turned into two, accelerating from a occasional hobby to a fundamental part of my life. I find that my work as a model is influenced by my experience as a performing musician. Both art forms require a niche awareness and mastery over one’s body. When considering the intersection of modeling and art forms, dance is the most common association. However, I hope to explore the intersection of music and modeling throughout my career in both fields.

  • As a stylist, I focus on showcasing sustainable fashion through editorial photography. I am a seasoned thrifter, and hope to use my work to fight against the stigmas against secondhand fashion and the privilege surrounding the world of fashion.

Thrifting became an outlet for me as I entered adulthood. Secondhand stores were the first place that I could shop without fearing the dreaded price tag. I began to explore my style through one-of-a-kind pieces and learned that expression through fashion is an intrinsic part of my identity. I hope to help others use secondhand fashion to learn more about themselves and how they relate to the world around them.

Throughout my work as a stylist, I hope to pave a road forward for the future of fashion an effort to combat the effects of climate change while creating compelling and innovative art.
